In her own words – How I got started

In 1998, I became a third-grade teacher serving students who were below grade level. It was the beginning of my educational journey, but the need for educators who can help students improve their proficiency when not meeting the state standards is something that will always be needed.

In 2004, I was awarded an MBA from the University of Central Florida. In 2011, I was awarded the title of Doctorate in Educational Leadership by the University of Central Florida.

Most recently, I have supervised teachers-on-assignment who provide curriculum and professional development support to district elementary, middle, and high schools serving over 60,000 students in Seminole County Florida. As well as serving as the main point of contact between Seminole County Public Schools and the State of Florida for Just Read, Florida!, New Worlds Reading, State Regional Literacy Director, and K-12 Regional Civics Literacy Coach.
