A Strategy for Growth & Stability of a Student’s Mindset

The resources on this site can assist your book study programs at your school – Dr. Michelle Pisani is available to answer questions.
Why does this matter?
At one point while working as one of the elementary school administrators, our administrative team decided to offer an optional book study on Carol Dweck’s Mindset. While I was reading the book in preparation for the book study, I was also searching for resources for the book study. Needless to say, it became my passion project.
This web page combines links to the various resources that I found on the internet during this preparation along with a copy of the presentation that I developed. The presentation contains some video clips from the internet that aided in our discussion along with original questions that connected the book’s content back to our students and Leader in Me.
At that moment in time, we were a Leader in Me school, I felt that it was important to include Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me in the discussions that we were having as we discussed Mindset to increase the likelihood that it would naturally find a place in the classroom routines of our participants rather than becoming an isolated book that was forgotten as soon as the book study was completed. Since both Mindset and Leader in Me focus on developing the potential of the individual, they complement one another. Our book study discussions focused on helping students who still doubt their potential to make strides toward having a growth mindset about their academic future.
